1st Shift Screw Machine Operator
Job Description:
Our manufacturing company has operated for over 100 years and is in need of a Screw Machine Operator. Preferably with ACME-Gridley/Davenport experience. Good mechanical aptitude is a must, along with the ability to read blueprints, use micrometers, and calipers. This role is good fit with those coming from the automobile industry (such as mechanics, service/lube technicians, etc.).
1st shift (6am – 2:30pm M-F)
Compensation: $17/hr.
General job duties are listed below:
- Operates one or more previously set up multiple spindle screw machines to perform a series of machining operations on bar stock.
- Reads Blueprints and job orders for information on dimensions, tolerances, and number of pieces to be machined.
- Adjusts machine controls and changes tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances.
- Replace or adjust tools needed to complete job.
- Documentation of job and quality checks completed regularly.

2nd Shift Screw Machine Operator
Job Description:
Our manufacturing company has operated for over 100 years and is in need of a Screw Machine Operator. Preferably with ACME-Gridley/Davenport experience. Good mechanical aptitude is a must, along with the ability to read blueprints, use micrometers, and calipers.
2nd shift (2:15pm – 12:45am Monday-Thursday)
Compensation: $18/hr.

Set-Up Screw Machine Lead
Job Description:
Our manufacturing company has operated for over 100 years and is in need of a Set-Up Screw Machine Operator. Experience with Davenport/ACME-Gridley is required.
1st shift (6am – 2:30pm M-F)
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
General job duties are listed below:
- Responsible for set up & troubleshooting of Davenport machines.
- Adjust the machine to produce parts in conformance with blueprints drawings & quality standards.
- Perform tooling installation & adjustments: cams, gears, threading, Reaming, Rotary Broaching, Recess, Shaving, Form, Cutoff etc.
- Ability to assist in training others on operation and setup of screw machines.
- Extensive experience with Brass, aluminum, steel and copper materials.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience with Davenport/ACME-Gridley is required
- Mechanically inclined – Individual needs to be experienced with tools and machinery and can adapt quickly to fixings things both familiar and unfamiliar.
- Perform standard math – Individual needs to able to perform standard math to effectively make machine adjustments.
- Reasoning ability – Ability to think, reflect, and make decision to overcome obstacles.
- Versed w/ calipers, micrometers, gages….
